When my first was born I started flipping over packages — baby wash, baby food, baby bottles, baby clothes — and got curious about what was actually in them. The deeper I read, the more I realized the front of the package and the back of the package were telling completely different stories. The front said "natural" and "wholesome." The back said sodium lauryl sulfate, fragrance, polyester, and dough conditioners.
That curiosity turned into a habit, the habit turned into a brand, and the brand turned into Net Positive — what I make. This site is the editorial side of the same project: a working library of what I've learned along the way, available free to anyone trying to figure out what's actually clean.

I don't take money from brands to evaluate their products. Ever. If a brand sends me free product, I'll tell you. The review is the same either way.
I tell you when something is genuinely concerning, when something is contested, and when something is actually fine. Calibrated honesty over alarm clicks.
Real life has three kids under four, deadlines, and a Costco run on Saturday. Every recommendation has to fit into that life. If it doesn't, it's not a recommendation, it's a fantasy.
Clean living shouldn't be a tax on the wealthy. Most of what I recommend is available at conventional grocery stores at conventional prices. The freezer aisle is your friend.
I link to studies, regulatory documents, and third-party testing data. When something is contested between scientific bodies — say, glyphosate, where IARC and the EPA disagree — I tell you it's contested and walk you through the evidence on both sides. I never claim more certainty than the literature actually supports.
That said, I do take a position. The cautious, label-reading position is usually the right one: when an ingredient is banned in the EU but legal in the U.S., when a residue can be avoided by choosing organic, when the front of the package is doing more work than the back — I'll point it out.
I'm not a nutritionist, a dietitian, or a medical doctor. Nothing on this site is medical advice. If you have a specific condition or you're pregnant or you're caring for a child with a health concern, talk to a clinician who knows your history. This site is education, not diagnosis.
I'm also not the bread police. If your kid's birthday party has Wonder Bread sandwiches, eat the sandwich, enjoy the party. Non-toxic living is a direction, not a religion.
I'm not a coach or a consultant — I don't offer pantry audits, one-on-one sessions, or personalized guidance. This site is the way I share what I've learned, and it's available free to everyone.
